In Hervey Bay, we have recently opened new rooms at Urangan Central shopping centre. There is ample shaded parking and it is on all major bus routes, including buses from Maryborough. We are only 6 minutes from Main Street.

In Maryborough, we work out of St Stephen's Medical Centre at 166 John Street, attached to the St Stephen's private hospital.

Equipment

We are able to provide state of the art equipment for both the investigation of eye disease and also for various treatments.

This includes:

  • OCT 3 OCT 3 - dimensional scanner - this latest generation scanner takes pictures of the optic nerve and the retina in previously unheard of detail and resolution. It is safe, easy and painless with no side-effects and is used in the context of investigating and monitoring of Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, various retinal diseases and also Glaucoma.
  • Humphrey Visual Field Humphrey Visual Field - Used predominantly for Glaucoma, this is the industry standard for the testing of your peripheral vision.
  • IOL IOL Master - The 5th and latest generation scanner which measure the length of your eyes to enable as accurate as possible calculation for the strength of implant used for cataract surgery.
  • microscopeCorneal topography - to measure the curvature of the front of your eye (cornea), particularly useful for accurate measurement of astigmatism, and re-surgical measurements.
  • All our microscopes are equipped with cameras which allow you to have instant visual feed-back about your eyes.
  • Conmed Sterilizer - we like to ensure all are instruments are closely monitored and maintained to the highest standards of sterility on-site.
